This reissued RG565R reflects the decades of Ibanez innovation that have since passed, upgrading its already-ergonomic playability with a modern 5-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard neck. The just-right feel provided by this neck encourages lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons. Capping the neck is a bound 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, loaded with jumbo frets that are perfect for big note bends. Potent Ibanez pickups
Back in 1989, Ibanez equipped the RG565R with an IBZ V2 humbucker and an S1 single-coil pickup. This modern RG565R, on the other hand, comes loaded with a newer IBZ V8 humbucker, enabling you to achieve warm, yet articulate lead tones with enhanced harmonic overtones and enough high-end sizzle to accommodate all levels of knob-twisting expression. Finally, the V8 is complemented by a rail-style single-coil-sized humbucker in the neck position, volume and tone controls, and a lever-style pickup selector.

The late-‘80s RG565R included Ibanez’s original Edge tremolo, which was a high-end licensed version of the era’s most prominent double-locking model.
