This angular core provides the wrap wire with more surface area to grip, resulting in enhanced tone and intonation. Plus, D’Addario XS sets are far from your ordinary coated bass guitar strings. The entire set of bass guitar strings features groundbreaking thin film coatings that retain their clarity and resonance, even after numerous jam sessions. Because of this extra protection, dirt, debris, and sweat don’t penetrate between the string windings, blocking the major source of tone degradation.
