With eight simultaneous effect blocks and fully adjustable signal routing—plus a built-in volume/expression pedal and onboard noise suppression—you can quickly build custom bass rigs to suit any genre or song on your set list. Once your sounds are dialed in, the GX-1B’s footswitches and volume/expression pedal can be freely assigned to control virtually anything, from simple effect on/off switching to adjusting multiple parameters in real time.

Drawing inspiration from the highly regarded GX-100 and GX-10 interfaces, the GX-1B features distinctive hexagon-shaped effect buttons that provide instant visual feedback for each sound category. Tap them to toggle effects on or off, or press and hold to dive into detailed parameters. The GX-1B comes loaded with 99 ready-to-play presets, along with 99 user memory slots for storing your custom creations.
The GX-1B includes Gear Suite, a powerful tool for quickly dialing in amp and effect tones. Each amp and effect type offers multiple Gear Suite factory settings, letting you recall expertly crafted parameter sets with a simple turn of a knob. You can easily fine-tune these sounds to taste and store your custom patches in Gear Suite user memories for instant recall.
When it’s time to practice, BOSS Tone Studio’s Session feature lets you play along with YouTube songs and lessons, complete with speed control, A/B looping, a metronome, and built-in rhythm tracks. You’ll also find BOSS Tone Exchange within the app, giving you access to a wide selection of pro-created sounds. Additional editing tools make it easy to fine-tune effects and organize your patches exactly the way you want.
