Great sound is in the details
The Takamine GY51E New Yorker acoustic-electric guitar benefits from quality tonewoods and Takamine’s painstaking attention to detail. With its scalloped X-braced solid spruce top, black walnut back and sides, the GY51E looks great and is tonally versatile enough to handle whatever playing style your musical mood dictates. Takamine’s TP-4TD preamp system
The GY93E New Yorker sports Takamine’s TP-4TD preamp, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output — instantly. The TP-4TD features a gain knob; a tuner; an active shelving EQ with bass, middle, and treble sliders; and a low battery indicator. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap-pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The TP-4TD is powered by a single 9-volt battery.
