The back of the RG8870’s 5-piece Super Wizard AS neck features a Velvetouch finish for super-smooth playability, and it’s capped by a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, which are finished using Ibanez’s J Custom fret edge treatment. Reaching the upper frets on this solidbody electric guitar feels effortless, thanks to its deep, beveled lower horn scoop and all-access neck joint.
