Ethically and Sustainably Built from Unique Tonewoods
Environmental responsibility is incumbent upon all of us. And with the Breedlove Oregon Concerto CE, you can do your part to be a more environmentally conscious guitar player. This acoustic-electric guitar is made from 100% sustainably harvested and reclaimed tonewoods. The body features myrtlewood for the top, back, and sides, in addition to a maple neck. Together, the tonewoods deliver a tone that blends the best elements of maple, rosewood, and mahogany into a simply gorgeous tone. This Oregon Concerto comes with a sleek neck shape that’s just as comfortable for chording as it is for lead lines. And for gigging, it features onboard electronics that supply a true-to-life plugged-in tone.
Magnificent all-myrtlewood body
Your new Oregon Concerto CE features an all-myrtlewood body. A hardwood that only grows in the Pacific Northwest, myrtlewood is known for its widely varied grain patterns and stunning figure. Tonally, myrtlewood delivers a magical midrange with deep lows and a subtle treble response. When you pair myrtlewood with the maple neck, that midrange only gets more pronounced. Be prepared, though. Once you play it, the Oregon Concerto CE’s thrilling tone will have you hooked.
Forward-thinking Sound Optimization process
Every Made in Bend Breedlove guitar benefits from the company’s proprietary Sound Optimization process. Sound Optimization is a data-driven process that accounts for the inherent variability in natural tonewoods and ensures every guitar performs to its full potential. So how does it work? First, Breedlove sands each tonewood to a desired weight (most guitar companies sand to a uniform thickness). Once the braces are glued in, the company’s luthiers use soft mallets, microphones, and specialized software to analyze the top and back frequency response. They then voice the braces by hand and constantly re-measure the frequency response to ensure the top and back resonate to pre-determined target frequencies.
Breedlove’s groundbreaking combination of data-backed technology with the art of lutherie ensures that their instruments sound unlike any other. The guitar comes alive the second you pluck your first note. Each Sound Optimized guitar offers a huge dynamic range with striking note separation and clarity. Plus, the sustain is out of this world. Breedlove believes in its Sound Optimization technology so much that no instrument leaves the company’s Oregon workshop until it performs to its full potential — even if that means carving on the bracing through the soundhole. With a Sound Optimized Breedlove guitar, you’ll experience a level of performance and sonic consistency that you can’t find anywhere else. Not sold yet? You will be once you play one.
Sustainably sourced, traceable tonewoods
If you talk to anyone at Breedlove, they’ll probably say they love the outdoors. And as a global guitar brand, they’ve taken huge strides to reduce their environmental impact and protect the natural world they cherish with the Tonewood Certification Program. Breedlove works closely with local authorities and mill workers to harvest and document each tonewood they use. The Tonewood Certification Program’s documentation is so thorough that they can tell you exactly where the wood on your guitar grew and how it ended up at Breedlove.
Breedlove: guitars you can feel good about
From the company’s beginning in 1990, Breedlove has focused efforts on reducing its impact on the planet without compromising instrument quality. Breedlove’s radical approach to sustainability led to the creation of its Tonewood Certification Program and a commitment to visit each location where its timber is harvested to ensure compliance with sustainability standards. The company has introduced player-centered innovations, including top-loading bridges, custom voicings, and unique neck profiles. From the Discovery to the Legacy, each and every Breedlove is made with an uncompromising dedication to quality sound, flawless workmanship, and environmental sustainability. Buying a Breedlove is much more than purchasing a top-notch acoustic guitar — it’s buying a guitar you can feel good about.
